The state Government has today confirmed that Christmas Eve shall be a part-day public holiday in Queensland. It kicks off at 6.00pm on 24 December 2019 and remains in place until midnight.

We urge all employers to consider the impact this may have on their businesses (including public holiday penalty rates applicable during these hours) and plan accordingly.
