Partnering with great causes: Suited to Success and Dress for Success

We are proud to support Suited to Success and Dress for Success, two not-for-profit organisations that help people overcome barriers to employment and succeed in the workplace.

Suited to Success provides employment assistance, workshops, styling services and clothing, peer support activities, and career coaching, at no cost, to those who need their services. Suited to Success helps over 1,000 people through Queensland every year.

Dress for Success empowers women to thrive in the workplace and life by providing a support network, professional attire and a range of career development tools for disadvantaged women. Dress for Success has helped more than 1.2 million women worldwide. Dress for Success offers interview coaching, mentoring and ongoing support for women, and we are proud to assist their local QLD branch, which is based in Brisbane.

At Edwards HR, we have been a proud partner of Suited to Success, Dress for Success, and their initiatives and events since 2019.

We are honoured to present workshops on understanding the workplace, and other employment-related topics via Suited to Success and Dress for Success, to help those seeking employment. We are so proud that our team is able to help their mission in this way.

We are passionate about making employment accessible to those with less privilege and are proud to be able to make a contribution towards helping people overcome barriers to employment and helping to empower women in the workplace and close the gender gap.

From our Founder: Why Suited to Success and Dress for Success

“I wanted to make sure we were giving back to the community but didn’t want to just choose the first charity we thought of – there are so many important, worthy causes out there! I wanted to make sure it was relevant to the work we do, the services we offer, and, if possible, our clients. After reading about the free services offered by Suited to Success and Dress for Success, I realised that if we help these charities, ultimately we are helping to get people back in employment and increase the talent pool for our clients along the way (who are always struggling to find good people). So it was a clear win-win. And here we are two years later.”

– Emma Edwards, Managing Director & Founder of Edwards HR

How to Support these NFP Organisations

One of the services offered by Suited to Success and Dress for Success is sustainable styling – a free service offering interview and employment outfits to job seekers, and made possible by donations by the community.

If you would like to donate items to their drives, get in touch with us at Edwards HR – we regularly participate in the clothing and footwear drives for both initiatives and organise drop-offs.

Or, visit the Suited to Success website and the Dress for Success website to find drop off locations and more information.
