Applications Now Open – 2024 HR Foundations Learning & Mentoring Program

We’re excited to announce that applications are now open to our 2024 HR Foundations Program!

Places are limited and applications are assessed on a first in, best dressed basis, so please be sure to request a Program Outline and Application Form, and register for our online info session next week if you would like further information (link at the end of this email).

Who is the Program For?

The 10-month Program is designed for graduate/entry level HR professionals, solo HR professionals and those who perform the HR/recruitment/payroll function but it is not their only role in the organisation.

Individuals suited to the Program include:

  • Business graduates who hold a degree or certificate but limited practical experience;
  • Individuals who handle HR, recruitment and payroll with limited support and/or don’t report to another HR professional;
  • Junior HR professionals (<5 years’ experience) who operate as the only HR person in the organisation (with or without qualifications).

What’s Covered?

From February to November, we run 10 half-day training and mentoring sessions that will allow participants to walk away with practical knowledge, tools and confidence to:

  • Implement new tools and simple (yet effective) initiatives to improve their internal HR, recruitment and payroll functions;
  • Handle issues and concerns in a way that protects the commercial interests of the business;
  • Meet and exceed employer compliance obligations;
  • Minimise the need for external support in the future.

The Program provides training and mentoring by our experienced heavy industry team, through an approach strongly focussed on the practical element of HR. This element is often missed in tertiary education and is difficult to master without engaging experienced, external support.

The practical monthly workshops cover legislation, case studies and best practice, and provide practical takeaways for attendees to use and implement in their own business. This is followed by a one-on-one mentoring session with a member of our team to bounce around ideas, talk through issues and initiatives, and discuss things they are not sure about (one mentor is assigned to each attendee for the duration of the course).

Launch Discount

To celebrate the launch of the Program, we are offering one month free on the 10-month Program* for those who prefer to pay the Program Fees up front (instead of deposit and monthly fees). This discount applies for accepted applications paid in full on or before 30 November 2023.

*Please note that this discount:

  • Is standalone, not cumulative and cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount offered by Edwards HR.  
  • Is automatically available for all Applications accepted and paid upfront, in full, on or before 30 November 2023. ‘Upfront, in full’ means all fees for the 10-month Program are paid upon Application acceptance (not monthly). The preference for upfront payment must be noted in the Application Form.
  • Will be revoked if payment is not made on or before 30 November 2023, and an updated invoice will be issued.

Read the Program Outline and email your completed Application Form to – simple as that!

We encourage all who are interested in the Program to act now – our intake for 2024 is capped to ensure we can deliver a Program that is tailored specifically to the needs of our attendees and the heavy industry business they work within, and applications are assessed on a first in, best dressed basis.

Online Info Session
