An Update from our Managing Director

It feels like only weeks ago that we were returning from Christmas break but 2022 is in full swing and the Easter long weekend is fast approaching!!

While this is our first update for 2022, there has been plenty going on behind the scenes at Edwards HR. We have welcomed two new team members (more on that below) and recruited another who will be starting in April. We have welcomed new clients and been awarded two of the largest contracts we’ve ever been engaged on. Amongst the organised chaos, we have settled in our Acacia Ridge offices, our new website is now live, and our 2022 strategic plan is progressing well.

We have experienced significant growth in the last 6 months and there is no sign of things slowing down. But rest assured, we are committed to maintaining our humble approach for the long haul, so no matter how big our team might grow, you can expect the same level of personable service you’re used to.


Recruitment and retention have continued to pose considerable challenges for businesses over the last 2 years, and while most expected that the borders re-opening would help overcome some of these challenges, these expectations are yet to be realised. So, the next 6 months will see us establish our dedicated heavy industry Recruitment team.

This service offering is being fine-tuned as we speak and we are keen for your feedback and suggestions to ensure our new recruitment service is a value-add for your business, just like our other HR services. Jill joins the Edwards HR team as Senior HR Business Partner with over 20 years’ experience working with organisations of all sizes, both locally and internationally. Jill’s experience spans many industries including energy, mining services, engineering, manufacturing, water resources, automotive and government, just to name a few.


Gabriela joins us as Administration & HR Assistant and plays an integral role in keeping things running smoothly for both our team and our clients. She is also studying a Bachelor of Business (HRM & ER), so you’ll find her supporting our team with recruitment and other HR matters from time to time.

On a final note – a huge thank you goes out to our team and our clients. We simply could not have come this far without you and I am truly excited to keep you informed throughout the rest of the year about our progress and, of course, all things HR!
